We are looking for an enthusiast Business Analyst who can adjust to different business contexts in order to identify functional and technical solutions for the application's development.

As a PO/BA, you'll become one of the most valuable assets of the company by playing the role of a facilitator who bridges the gap between Business and IT on various projects.

You will have the opportunity to develop a flexible mindset, communication and persuasion skills, but also to engage yourself in defining/proposing the way of working within different business contexts related to the software development process.

About the projects

Our clients are mainly from Germany, US and Japan, activating in a complex manufacturing, finance, public sector and scientific instruments industry, developing highly performing solutions and being market leaders in the Innovation Technology Business domain for decades.

We are focusing on developing state-of-the-art software solutions for the customer’s hardware prototypes from Image Analysis, Laser Scattering, to Custom Application of Municipality Resource Management, as well as Artificial Intelligence in the Defect Recognition sectors. Our software solutions’ mission is to support the advancement of our clients, creating a 21st century user experience, designing modern user interfaces and efficient workflows. The product targets: Research and Development, Quality Monitoring, High Usability & High Performance.     

Your team

The design, development and release phases are undertaken by the development team, allowing us to explore the best approaches, adapt to new findings and make decisions that will lead to attaining the desired outcome, while also enabling us to grow. 

You will have the opportunity to work with highly skilled Senior Cross-Tech Developers, Software Architects and Technical Leads, using a “Modern Agile” framework that combines the best practices of Agile-Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe, all this mapped on the PMI Key Knowledge Areas.

The Product Owner/Business Project Manager promotes flexibility, exploration and autonomy; trusting us in delivering the vision and proposing technical solutions.

Your role

As a Product Owner/Business Analyst you will play the key role in a project life-cycle by ensuring that the final solution meets the customer’s needs and objectives. Your responsibilities will be the following: 

  • Be the main point of contact person for the customer and be in direct contact with project stakeholders, UI/UX Designer, Project Manager, Development and Testing within the software development process
  • Aim to understand both business requirement and market trends that impact the product mission statement
  • Identify  business needs and define product scope
  • Lead Product Related workshop  (Product Discovery / Design Workshops)
  • Supporting in cretin the delivery network diagram and critical path
  • Manage the product backlog
  • Monitor and control project scope/alignment with business goals and road-map
  • Engage in clarifying, documenting requirements, but also in the business process modelling as part of the requirements/stakeholder management
  • Plan and refine the product backlog with a focus on delivering valuable increments, taking into account all three perspectives – user, business and technical

Match your skills

  • Spoken and written fluency in English 
  • Spoken and written fluency in German 
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a similar role
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a software development environment
  • Familiar with: Agile-Scrum, SAFe, plan driven delivery (V-Model or waterfall)
  • Good understanding of the business context
  • Team player
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Critical thinking and good analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Proven client facing experience
  • Stakeholder management
  • Proactive focus on customer needs & business value
  • Ability to manage constant change and uncertainty
