Opportunity summary

The client is one of the market’s leaders in providing one stop shop in automotive industry that plans and implements turnkey paint shops and final assembly systems and machine and robot technology.

Currently, there are 9 teams (over 40 colleagues) working in this project portfolio, covering various roles: Software Developer, Business Analyst, UI/UX designer, Quality Assurance Engineers, Product Owner, Data Scientist, Commissioning, Scrum Master, Project Manager.

About the project

You will be working in one of the most strategic fields in the digitalization process: manufacturing on a long-term project.

The business need behind the project is the waste reduction in the process of car bodies painting and drying. The application will predict how a car body will behave in an oven with certain parameters based on data collected by different types of sensors. The data will be used for monitoring and controlling purposes and for running different simulations

Your team

Your teams consists of 4 Developers, 1 QA, 1 Business Analyst, 1 UI/UX designer, 1 PO (customer), 2 Data Scientists (customer) and the Scrum Master. The development life cycle is organized using an iteration-based Agile with 3 weeks sprints.

As a member of the team, you will be a key player in the digitization process of painting/drying equipment analytics, having the chance to gather knowledge about a rich technological context, the IoT field and the Digital Factory business area.

Your role

  • Create and define integration tests and UI tests
  • Design test scenarios
  • Perform complex system tests
  • Ensure compliance of quality processes and standards
  • Influence the inclusion of testability during design and development phases
  • Build and maintain test automation frameworks using the most relevant tools and approaches for different projects

Match your skills

  • Relevant experience in testing web-based and mobile applications
  • Experience of working on projects with micro-service architecture
  • 2+ years of creating and implementing automation tests, using Protractor or other test automation frameworks
  • Experience with Docker or other containerization systems
  • Familiar with testing applications that use Angular
  • Good knowledge of databases
  • Experienced with source control
  • Able to troubleshoot, debug and find solutions to problems
  • Good communication skills, able to interact well to other members of the development team in order to achieve expected quality levels
  • Detail-oriented & creative thinking skills
  • Passionate about investigating and experimenting with different kind of strategies and tools in order to test the resilience of an application
