There are many things we celebrate every day - the people we work with, the impact we have in the communities and in our partners’ business and mostly, the way our teams face progress: with courage and curiosity to innovate. Together, we thrive on impact, and we are committed to delivering value to our people, clients, partners, and their end users.  

This is why we’re thrilled to have a year in review showcasing the main highlights of Accesa in 2024: 

01. Accesa in Motion | celebrating our 20th anniversary 

For the past 20 years we’ve worked to build a business that enables our people to thrive, our clients to grow, and their end users to succeed. Since 2004, we’ve grown from a small Romanian organisation into one of the leading IT companies in the country.  

We began as a small team and have since grown into a strong community of over 1200+ experts. We are driven by our customer-centric approach, solutions-driven mindset, passion for technology and a commitment to delivering meaningful solutions to all our partners and clients, in industries such as Manufacturing, Retail, Banking and Finance. 

To mark the 20 years Accesa has been in motion, and the meaningful impact we've made together with our partners, colleagues, and clients, we hosted three events under the Accesa in Motion umbrella, as a celebration of our progress and growth.

02. A milestone year in numbers 

Headquartered in Cluj-Napoca, with offices in Oradea, and team members across the entire country we are proud to cover the complete digital evolution journey, from ideation and setting up the requirements to software development and managed services solutions.

  • A balanced team in the making: This year, our workforce was comprised of 57% men and 43% women, reflecting our ongoing commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the tech industry.

03. A culture of ongoing learning 

In Accesa, we share the passion of staying ahead of the curve and embracing the responsibility of our own development, gladly sharing our knowledge with our colleagues, clients and communities of expertise.  

We’ve built a vibrant learning culture that helps us strengthen our growth mindset, remain curious and adapt to our changing environment through:

  • 20 Technical Community Internal Meetups (Community Days

  • 85 participants to internal hackathons

04. A culture of growth 

2024 was definitely a year of growth – for both our people and our organisation. 

We built and adapted our services and organisational structure to foster a culture of creating real value, recognising and celebrating contributions, while maintaining a consultative approach to deliver optimised, customer-centric solutions that empower our clients to achieve their business objectives. 

05. Leading the way in AI  

At Accesa, we adopt AI by integrating advanced technologies with customised approaches tailored to client requirements, driving meaningful business outcomes. 

A notable example is our collaboration with an automotive client to develop a centralised stock and pricing platform, utilising AI and Google Cloud. This solution incorporated features like an AI-powered pricing engine and automated VIN scanning with bespoke OCR technology, reducing errors and manual effort. 

Delivered in under three months, the platform enabled data-driven decisions, enhancing operational efficiency and contributing to a 10% revenue increase in regions where it was implemented. 

06. Friendshoring & Innovation in Motion  

The basis of our continuous collaboration with our partners is friendshoring: a mix between nearshoring and friendship. This ensures sustainable growth by integrating ourselves into our customers' value chains, gaining invaluable industry know-how for future projects, and enabling joint events.  

For us, the personal relationship with our partners is essential, and this year we proudly (and jointly) participated in multiple initiatives, hackathons or tech-focused events meant to keep Innovation in Motion together with MediaMarktSaturn, Metafinanz, Bofrost and Homag.

In addition to our joint initiatives, we are also proud of our teams and their ideas at two hackathon events with a total of 85 participants at Ship IT and a Quality Management Hackathon.  

We are honoured to work with such amazing companies and people and for building strong partnerships in a complex global landscape! This approach has helped us grow together sustainably, building a relationship that thrives on trust, shared values, and mutual success.   

07. People care: supporting well-being and balance 

We are dedicated to supporting the well-being of our people, helping them navigate the ongoing and emerging challenges of modern life. Continuous adaptation of our benefits program includes dedicated initiatives that serve the physical and emotional health of our people.  

Work-life balance embraces work-life fusion and bringing kids to dedicated workplace events fosters a healthy environment that strengthens family bonds and creates a supportive, inclusive community, thus, it is one of the directions we focused on, this year. 

  • 500+ people benefiting from physical health initiatives 

  • 1271 participants to 29 sports events, ranging from postural reeducation to running competitions or internal sport bootcamps 

  • 300 participants to emotional, medical awareness or financial education workshops 

  • 5 dedicated events for kids with over 80 participants 

08. Sustainability in tech and beyond 

At Accesa we truly believe in a better future for our people, clients, and partners, for the communities in which we operate, and for the environment.  Sustaining a responsible business model starts with consistently making and delivering on our commitments and actions, which have the wellbeing of people and the planet at their core. 

This journey towards a better future is in the long term, so we integrate sustainability principles into our business model and align them with our mission, vision, and values. 

We are also aware that there is always room for improvement. We define clear ambitions but remain open and adaptable to learn and progress even during challenging, changing, or uncertain times.

  • Branding, Production and Giveaway  

Every time we create a giveaway or any item for our community, we try reinforcing our values by prioritising purpose and a positive impact.  

We prioritise the selection of items that promote environmental responsibility, whenever possible, we select products, made from recycled materials, reusable items that reduce waste, and eco-friendly packaging, supporting our commitment to minimising our environmental footprint. 

Additionally, we always seek opportunities to source items through partnerships and suppliers which support social inclusion and create meaningful work for people with disabilities. This approach allows us to invest in products that contribute to a positive social impact, fostering a sense of purpose beyond the item itself. 

  • Green App Modernisation  

We aim to drive innovation and sustainability in our partners’ digital transformation, ensuring your IT infrastructure not only meets today's demands but also builds a sustainable future for tomorrow. This is why this year, Accesa and metafinanz came together to combine Green IT principles with modern application development strategies to elevate your digital efficiency by optimising application code for peak performance and sustainability, driving innovation and compliance.    The Green Code Consultancy can be a powerful enabler for application modernisation by guiding businesses in optimising their software to be both energy-efficient and high-performing. By following each of our proposed steps and gradually implementing green code into the legacy systems, sustainability is ensured while application modernisation remains one of the top priorities. 

We thank our colleagues, clients, and partners – external collaborators, communities, suppliers – with whom we are in dialogue. Together, we work on what we can make possible – and push the boundaries of what is possible – creating a better future for all of us. 09. A year of giving back to our wider community 

Our people-care culture is not limited to the way we act within our organisation. It extends outward, driving us to make a positive impact in our local communities. I am proud and honored to have seen my colleagues not only attending CSR organised events but also proposing causes and striving to obtain sponsorships for them:

  • 4400 trees planted in Cluj, Iasi and Timisoara by 130 colleagues and their dear ones 

  • 40 laptops and 30 monitors donated to NGOs that support children with underprivileged backgrounds 

  • 4 causes proposed by our colleagues have been sponsored 

  • Sponsorship of Fondul Stiintescu Timisoara and Oradea and the Robotics Teams of the Emil Racovita Highschool in Cluj, contributing to shaping the next generation of engineers and scientists. 

  • 6 scholarships for children at risk of school dropout 

  • 100 Christmas shoe boxes for children from vulnerable backgrounds 

10. Collaboration in a hybrid workplace  

At Accesa, we value both workplace flexibility and human connections. While our colleagues can choose where they work from, we encourage everyone to invest in regularly meeting in person, joining on-site events to bond with colleagues and remain connected to the wider Accesa community. 

We strive to offer valuable opportunities to connect, learn and have a positive impact in the areas where our colleagues live. Whether created around CSR, sport events, tech events (meetups, hackathons or internal tech communities) or simply socialising, they all foster the positive work culture we to continue growing together.  

11. Looking Forward  

We are thankful for how strong and agile 2024 made us and we are looking forward to embracing a 2025 with a growth mindset that drives continuous learning and innovation.
