Accesa and Atruvia Mark Five Years of Partnership Driving Digital Transformation in Financial Services

Accesa and Atruvia mark five years of partnership, combining expertise and shared accountability to drive digital transformation in Financial Services.

5 October 2026

For five years, Accesa and Atruvia have been working together to build and evolve technology that supports essential initiatives across the Cooperative Financial Network of the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken, building a partnership that has grown from focused delivery engagements into a scaled collaboration supporting business-essential initiatives for the around 650 cooperative banks that are part of the group, as well as for private banks and companies from other industries.

Combining Atruvia’s decades of industry knowledge and technical capabilities with Accesa’s engineering strength and successful 20-year track record of delivering value for its customers has enabled us to support secure, scalable technology delivery, stronger digital services, as well as evolving data and automation capabilities, while strengthening a long-term partnership that continues to grow across teams, business and service areas.

This combination of technical capability and shared accountability is key to the success of our partnership, helping teams address today’s operational needs while preparing for what comes next.

By combining deep technical capability with shared accountability, we build secure, compliant, high-performance solutions that support both today’s operations and tomorrow’s expectations, says Alina Tirla, Managing Director Financial Services & Managed Services and CCO at Accesa.

Building solutions around real business needs

Our teams’ ability to bring technical and business perspectives together early in the process and a shared accountability extending beyond delivery and technical capabilities into joint planning, knowledge exchange, and continuous alignment, has helped Accesa develop stronger Financial Services expertise while strengthening Atruvia’s collaboration with experts who understand its standards, processes and technology landscape.

Recurring planning, workshops, and strategic alignments, tailored to Atruvia’s ways of working, helped build trust, maintain alignment, and strengthen collaboration across teams and organisational structures, while keeping delivery connected to the wider business context of both Atruvia and its customers.

Over the past five years, Atruvia and Accesa have built a partnership based on trust, shared responsibility and mutual learning. Accesa brings strong engineering expertise and flexibility, while Atruvia contributes its deep knowledge of banking, regulation and the cooperative financial network. Together, our teams turn these complementary strengths into secure, scalable solutions that support Atruvia in shaping the future of banking while enabling both organisations to grow their capabilities, says Zeljko Kaurin, Member of the Executive Board at Atruvia.

This way of working translates into tangible results across both project delivery and the broader collaboration. For Atruvia Hub, specialists from both organisations worked side by side to modernise an information management landscape built around multiple portals and tools. Working closely with Atruvia’s product owners, the teams refined requirements and development priorities while creating a unified portal that maintained business continuity throughout the transition. The result was a scalable foundation that improved user experience, information access, and operational efficiency.

Overall, the open mindset, the collaborative approach on Accesa and Atruvia's side and the possibility to bring our teams together in Cluj or Münster were valuable success factors for the results, says Martin Bense, Tribe Lead Solution Management, Business Field Connected Solutions, Atruvia.

A similar combination of close collaboration, shared context, and technical depth has shaped our work in payment processing, where Accesa specialists and Atruvia’s Banking experts worked together to modernise core processes without compromising compliance or operational continuity. By moving from a monolithic architecture to secure, scalable microservices, the teams built a more efficient experience for banks and enabled greater flexibility and control for their customers, showing how the partnership translates technical modernisation into tangible value for the people using these services every day.

Creating value beyond day-to-day delivery

The same openness to working and learning together has extended beyond individual projects. Through UX/UI and AI-focused hackathons, colleagues from different technical and operational backgrounds came together around shared challenges, combining different perspectives to experiment with new ideas. These formats created space for innovation while strengthening connections between colleagues from both teams, involved in the hackathon, and demonstrating how multidisciplinary expertise could be brought together around technology topics.

Knowledge-sharing has also become a natural extension of the partnership. Through Tech in Motion, Accesa’s annual conference bringing together around 800 technology professionals, industry experts, and business leaders, Atruvia has been part of the conversation from the first edition, initially as participants and later through speaker and keynote contributions.

Their involvement has created opportunities to exchange perspectives beyond day-to-day delivery and open discussions around the topics shaping business and technology today, from emerging technologies and data to the changing expectations placed on digital products, services, and the teams behind them.

Our participation in Atruvia Tech Days, BPR Agile Days, and Data, Analytics and AI Day complemented this shared know-how process by giving our teams broader technical and business context around Atruvia’s priorities and the initiatives shaping the Financial Services Industry.

Atruvia Base Days brought these principles of shared learning and operational alignment directly into the way teams worked together. Combining workshops, discussions, and direct interaction with Atruvia subject matter experts, the initiative helped teams build a stronger understanding of the new priorities, structures and operational challenges.

We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in Atruvia Day: Data, Analytics and AI in the GFG. The event demonstrated that data, analytics and AI are far more than buzzwords; they are key drivers shaping the present and future of banking. It also reinforced the importance of close collaboration, open exchange and shared expertise in turning technological potential into meaningful impact, says Raul Oros, Senior Client Partner at Accesa.

Together, these shared ways of working, learning, and exchanging expertise have strengthened the partnership over time, creating a foundation we can continue to build on as the journey continues.

Five years built on trust, expertise and shared growth

The partnership between Accesa and Atruvia has grown through a combination of strong technical expertise, close collaboration and a deeper understanding of the Financial Services environment, helping teams build solutions that are more secure, reliable and closely aligned with business needs, while improving the experience and continuity of services for the banks and customers who rely on them.

Working alongside Atruvia has deepened Accesa’s banking knowledge and strengthened our capabilities across a broad range of technologies and services. At the same time, the collaboration has enabled Atruvia to work with nearshore teams that combine technical breadth with a strong understanding of its standards, processes and the requirements of a highly regulated Financial Services environment.

Most importantly, the work we do together supports technology used across the Cooperative Financial Network, where reliability, security and ease of use have a direct impact on everyday banking experiences. Building on this experience, we look ahead with a shared commitment to continuing to adapt, learn from one another, and strengthen our joint approach. By combining technical capabilities with agile ways of working and close collaboration across teams, tribes, and business and service areas, we aim to continue supporting Atruvia through secure, scalable technology delivery and stronger digital capabilities.
