For over ten years, we have proudly partnered with MediaMarktSaturn, Europe's leading consumer electronics retailer and provider of related services. The company operates with approximately 1,000 stores in 13 European countries and online sales platforms. 

This long-term collaboration has been a journey of mutual growth and progress rooted in the principles of friendshoring. Through prioritising close and reliable partnerships in a complex global landscape, this approach has helped us grow together sustainably, building a relationship that thrives on trust, shared values, and mutual success.  

Over the years, we had the pleasure of joining various events organised by MediaMarktSaturn, where we shared our knowledge, expertise, and actively contributed to business development by proposing innovative solutions using multiple tech tools to drive the Retail industry forward. 

Friendshoring with MediaMarktSaturn 

The basis of our continuous collaboration is friendshoring, a mix between nearshoring and friendship, which ensures sustainable growth by integrating ourselves into our customers' value chains, gaining invaluable industry know-how for future projects, and enabling joint events. For us, the personal relationship with our partners is essential, as we continue to support our friends at MediaMarktSaturn. Through hackathons or tech-focused events, we’re leveraging AI technologies and putting together mixed teams of AI experts ready to share their expertise and create innovative tech projects. 

Throughout our long-term partnership we envisioned and engineered solutions that seamlessly integrate into MediaMarktSaturn’s business, improving customer experience, developing new functionalities and automating time-consuming tasks. We developed ideas based on business potential and the value they might create for our partners and their end-customers. 

Keeping innovation in motion at MediaMarktSaturn’s Ideathon, Hackathon and Tech Summit 

Last year, we created the AIAssistant solution during the anniversary hackathon. It eases customers' buying decisions with real-time product recommendations based on price, features, market trends, user feedback, and consumer's real need, which won the Business Potential Award. 

This year we continued sharing our ideas during a new hackathon edition, based on key areas such as AI and accessibility. 

We joined MediaMarktSaturn's Ideathon and together, in mixed teams, we collaborated to create AI-driven solutions. Our experts provided guidance, technical assistance and worked together on identifying industry pain points, generating, defining, and pitching business solutions suitable for the Financial sector. We shared two GenAI success stories to illustrate the potential benefits and to provide inspiration for upcoming solutions.  

The first example we shared was designed to help financial analysts reduce their workload by 20%, cut costs by 75% and time by 80% when exploring large amounts of documents to assess their client’s sustainability rating. 

The second example was focused on an RPA and AI-driven solution which helps the accounts payable team streamline their cost center allocation and payment order creation processes, as well as provide approvers with detailed summaries of their automatically created orders, using GenAI. This shared solution can cut down time on repetitive tasks by three quarters and reduce late invoices by 15%. 

We were also part of MediaMarkSaturn’s Hackathon where we focused on identifying and leveraging AI to solve industry challenges and create new value by simplifying the management of large data. The hackathon was a great opportunity for our GenAI experts to offer technical assistance and develop complex projects.

During both events our experts actively contributed with ideas, expertise and valuable insights to support the participants. They used their knowledge to gather information, ideas and later implement custom chatbots or develop dynamic dashboard solutions by using GenAI.

For the third event of the year, we joined forces with MediaMarktSaturn at the Tech Summit, part of Innovation Days, where 19 teams from various cross-functional departments came together to bring their ideas to life. Their projects focused on key areas such as personalisation, resilience, omnichannel strategies, AI, sustainability, gamification, and accessibility. 

Our experts, Nicoleta Retegan, Client Partner Lead and Bogdan Vilt, Tribe Lead, stepped on the stage to present insights focused on consumer attitudes and acceptance of AI solutions in the Retail sector, based on an online survey answered by 2,500 online and offline shoppers across five countries. They also shared their expertise on how organisations can increase adoption, boost profitability, and deliver outstanding customer value.
